The Café Kevah is available for parties up to 80 people
Available during evening hours (After 6:00 PM). Private events at the Café Kevah deck can include flexible menus, décor and services. This is a stunning location with breath taking views of the Big Sur Coast. This is a private event, which you can personalize to share with your guests. There is a maximum of 80 people. Site Fee -
Charges for all private events at the Café Kevah include a $5,000 site fee and an additional fee for tenting the Café Kevah deck for inclement weather.
Special Events Menus -
Please contact our Event Coordinator for special event menu selections. Please feel free to discuss ideas or special requests with our Event Coordinator.
All food and Beverage consumed on the property must be purchased through Nepenthe, with the exception of specialty cakes.
Wine Service -
Nepenthe offers a full award winning wine list; please plan to make your selection at least two weeks before your event to insure that an ample supply will be on hand for your party.
Full Bar Service -
Full bar service is available at the Café Kevah with prior arrangement. Fees for full bar service include bartender wages at $25.00 per hour, individual drink prices and applicable sales tax.
China And Linen -
Table service at the Café Kevah includes Nepenthe’s special event tables, flatware, glasses and stemware. A wide variety of tableware and linens is available for rental.
Other expenses include, but are not limited to food, beverages, service charges, linen, furniture and heater rentals, tent rental, supplemental labor fees, and all applicable sales tax.
Parking and Transportation -
Parking may be limited at Nepenthe, depending on the time and date of your event. Consult with the Events Coordinator to determine the need for shuttles or other special parking and transportation arrangements as needed.
There are several services we do not provide, and can suggest trusted business for the following:
Entertainment - Consult with the Events Coordinator for live entertainment options.
Photographer - Nepenthe works with and recommends various local photographers. We will be happy to bring you together with a professional who is familiar with our property.
Florists - Flowers, centerpieces and other floral decorations.
Minister Fees - Ministers are available from local congregations, as well as non-denominational officiates. We will be happy to provide recommendations.
Wedding Cakes - subject to plating fees, we can recommend several excellent bakeries in the Monterey Peninsula.
Service Charge – A service charge of 20% will be assessed on your total event expenses pre-tax, and will be included with your final bill.
Tax - Prevailing California State Sales Tax will be added to your bill for all items subject to Sales Tax.
Deposit - Private Events on the Café Kevah deck are reserved with a $500 deposit and the return of the following completed and signed Special Event Registration Agreement. This deposit is only refundable with written cancellation at least thirty days prior to your event.
Pre-payment and Guarantee - Full pre-payment of estimated charges prepared by Nepenthe’s Events Coordinator is required seven days before your event. Guarantees for number of persons attending your event are due 7 days prior to the event.
Final payment - All expenses beyond the total estimate must be paid before the party leaves Nepenthe on the day of your event.
